Unit 3 examines low-impact hydroelectric power. The unit begins with a general introduction to hydroelectric power. It then uses hands-on activities to help students best understand how concepts such as water pressure, water flow and current relate to hydroelectric power. The lesson wraps up with a look at hydroelectric power in Arizona. (Note: Lesson 1 in this unit is parallel with Lesson 1 in Unit 2.)
